Wood County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, January 14th, due to refreezing roadway conditions and low temperatures.
Correction: The January 13 edition of the *Parkersburg News & Sentinel* incorrectly stated that Wood County Schools would be adding an additional 30 minutes to the school day in relation to "equivalency time" for days missed due to inclement weather. In fact, Wood County Schools already incorporates 30 extra minutes into its regular school day, which can be used to account for missed instructional time. To be clear, Wood County Schools will not be adding 30 minutes to the end of any school day.

We have a partnership with WVUP that offers one-on-one tutoring for our kindergarten - 5th students Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:45 - 4:00. If I haven't contacted you and you would like your child to participate in the next semester beginning the end of January, please call the school ASAP. Because the tutors are being graded on their work, it is important that Fairplains' students attend each session so the tutors can complete their assignments.
