Wood BOE to hold three meetings
PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Board of Education will hold three meetings the week of April 22.
The board will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Wood County Schools Central Office at 1210 13th Street in Parkersburg. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed online
The board will begin with Above and Beyond Caring Recognitions for Janet Davis and Stephen Dorsey, recognition of Hollie Best as West Virginia School Nutrition Association Director of the Year, recognition of Angie Keith as West Virginia School Nutrition Association Manager of the Year, and Lisa Riddle for winning the 2024 Bake-off Best of Show Award.
The board will receive presentations on Lubeck Elementary School plans, the bond project timeline, math standards and middle school math adoption, summer school 2024, and the summer EBT program.
The board will also hold two Local School Improvement Council Showcase meetings. The board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, April 22, at Williamstown Middle High School, and again at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Parkersburg High School. The LSIC Showcase events are open to the public.
The events will allow Local School Improvement Councils from feeder schools to share accomplishments and unique programs with the community.
