What is "equivalent time"?
Wood County Schools has thirty extra minutes built into each school day to maximize learning opportunities. This extra time can be utilized to count towards up to five snow days, so they do not have to be made up.
What is OSE?
Out of school environment days are the traditional snow day make up days added to the calendar which students and 200-day contract employees must make up.
How many days are required to be made up?
All snow days after the first five are required to be made up. The last day the school year can be extended to is June 11, 2025. If we run out of days at the end of the year, professional learning (PL) days can be converted to in person learning days.
