Good evening. Following a briefing with the National Weather Service at 8:00 p.m. this evening, Wood County Schools will be operating on Remote Instruction for Monday, February 15. Between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., heavy amounts of freezing rain and possible snow are predicted in the early morning with another front moving into our region in the afternoon. Students will not report to school, but will be expected to logon to Microsoft Teams at 10:00 a.m. Professional and Service employees will report to their work locations one hour after their normal arrival times. Due to Monday being a holiday, we will wait until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18 to review the WVDHHR map to find out the status of instruction in our High Schools for the upcoming week. If we are "Red" on the map, we will be in remote learning for the entire week. If we are "Orange", students with last names L-Z will return to in-person instruction on Tuesday, January 19.
