Hello this is Kenny DeMoss, Principal of PHS, with an important announcement. On Friday, September 17th, during our home football game vs. Parkersburg South, there was a situation that needs to be apologized for. During pregame introductions, a red smoke bomb was used as an entrance for our football team to run out onto the field. This is something that we did last time we played South in football and there wasn't any issue. Unfortunately, we had an issue that night. With the band playing predominately behind the inflated helmet, hardly anyone saw some of our band members have their breath taken away, even some who had to be treated. I want apologize to those students who felt the ill effects of that red smoke. You are a vital component of our atmosphere on Friday Nights and like many who participate in extracurricular activities, you all persevered and still preformed at a high level at halftime and the rest of the game! We would never knowingly place anyone in harms way and again deeply apologize for the effects that hit some of our band members that night. Moving forward, the red smoke will not occur again. The next time you see our band play, give them a huge thank you for role they play in making our school be its best and for the toughness they displayed that night in the heat in full uniform! Thank you and have a good night.

Tickets are still available for the football game Friday night vs South, kickoff at 7:30.
