The Snow Ball Dance for Parkersburg High School this Saturday has been postponed. Students who have purchased tickets your money will be refunded. As soon as more information becomes available we will share. Listen to morning announcements tomorrow for refund locations.

Snow Ball dance on 12/14 is $10. No outside guests. 7-9 pm in the Jack Stephens. The A capella concert is 12/18 at 7pm.
No school on 12/20 due to teacher training and students will return in person on January 6th, 2025 from break.

Camden Clark Medical Center WVU Medicine will be hosting a Healthcare Career Day for junior and senior high school students. The event will take place on Wednesday, November 20th from 9am-2pm at the Wood County Technical Center.
Parkersburg High Schools students will need to sign up in the Student Support Center. The bus would pick up from PHS at 9am and return by 11:50am. First Lunch students would be eating 7th period on November 20th. What an awesome opportunity to learn more about career opportunities in the area.
All juniors and seniors are encouraged to attend.
Students may wear costumes tomorrow but no masks and costumes must meet dress code.

On Monday October 28th, Parkersburg High School will begin keeping track of tardies for the purpose of assigning Extended School Program. ESP is an hour spent in the library with an assigned teacher after school from 3:30 - 4:30.. Each tardy after 5 and up to number 8 will result in ESP. After a student has accumulated a 9th tardy in the 9 weeks, In-School Suspension will be assigned by an administrator.

SENIORS: Financial Aid Meeting tonight, Tuesday October 22nd in the auditorium at 5:30.

Great idea by the Parkersburg High School Student Council!
We will have a pink out (wear pink) on Tuesday, October 22nd for all the warriors who have fought breast cancer. Clothing must still meet dress code.

We have made a slight change to notes in the morning. Please bring notes to the library to Mrs. Ray from 7:30 - 8:15 in the library. Notes after 8:15, will be turned in to the admin office box. Pink Slips will still be given in the Student Wellness Center.
Just a quick reminder about tardies, please make sure you are to class by 8am.

What a great way to cap off a great week with the traditional walkthrough with the band, cheerleaders, Red Wings and football players.
Important dates: 9/24 Senior Panoramic 8-9am, 10/15 Balfour will meet with seniors about caps, gowns, and senior packets, 10/22 Picture retakes and finally HOT OFF THE PRESSES: Prom will be on May 10th at the Grand Pointe in Vienna.

We are so excited for the dance tonight 7-10 pm. No backpacks or large purses. Come in through the mezzanine doors near the top of the main gym. Students must have ticket and ID in hand. No tickets sold at the door. Once you leave you cannot reenter. Thank you to all of the hard work of the staff and students who make this possible.

A few quick announcements
1. The horseshoe will be closed tomorrow morning due to the 9/11 memorial ceremony.
2. Homecoming tickets can still be purchased during both lunches.
3. REMINDER: Parkersburg High School is a CLOSED campus and students must remain on campus once arriving. Students not following this request could In-school suspension.

Homecoming week starts Monday. Make sure to participate in each day of spirit week. There will be a cross country race and football game Friday. The homecoming dance is Saturday. Make sure to turn in outside guest forms to the admin office. The 9/11 Ceremony will take place at 7:30am in the horseshoe so there will be no parking or drop off in the front on Wednesday.
